On 07 July 2026, Almawakening Foundation, in association with the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) and IGF India, launched this initiative to support para-athletes through the distribution of motorised wheelchairs, helping them gain greater mobility, independence and the ability to take part more fully in sports and community life.

The event was graced by Dr. Deepa Malik, Padma Shri, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna and Arjuna Award recipient, as Chief Guest. Her inspiring journey and unwavering advocacy for disability inclusion motivated all attendees present.

Motorised wheelchairs were presented to para-athletes, giving them access to transformative assistive technology designed to improve mobility, strengthen independence and enhance overall quality of life.

For many beneficiaries, this support represents not only improved movement but also greater confidence, dignity and the freedom to pursue their personal and professional aspirations.This was more than a distribution ceremony. It was a celebration of resilience, determination and human potential.
