Alma’s story begins on the sports field - where she raced, swam, played soccer, and lived life with fearless energy. Sports were not just hobbies; they were her identity.
Then came a moment that changed everything.
In her early teen years, Alma was diagnosed with cerebellar ataxia, a neurological condition affecting motor coordination. Overnight, her world looked different. The dreams she had built around athletics started to fade, and she found herself needing to rediscover who she was - and who she could become.
While many young people search for confidence, Alma had to rebuild hers from scratch. In this process, she encountered the world of psychology – and found answers, healing, and direction in understanding the power of the mind. She went on to study Psychology, along with honorary studies in International Philanthropy and Psychology.
Then came a turning point – a spiritual awakening where mind, body, and soul aligned. It became the spark for Almawakening – initially a personal space, shaped through a trilogy of writings around healing and self-acceptance.
What began as self-expression soon became a voice for many.
By 2023, Almawakening had evolved into a foundation and NGO – built to ensure that no one navigating difficulties feels alone, and that every individual has access to tools, support, and hope.
Today, through awareness events, guided meditations, digital storytelling, and more than 50 motivational speaking sessions, Alma has touched the lives of thousands and has been recognized among the Most Influential Women Entrepreneurs and Leaders of 2025.
A world where every person - regardless of ability - feels seen, included, and proud of who they are. A society that celebrates differences and offers dignity and opportunity to all.
